Derek has more than 25 years of extensive investment industry experience and joined Stifel in 2022. He believes that deep trust is essential when creating an investment strategy, which is often a complex and meticulous process between a financial advisor and the investor. Derek limits his number of clients in an effort to provide the highest possible level of service. This is done through customized wealth management strategies and holding periodic review discussions regarding their portfolios. His noteworthy background includes solid working relationships with individuals, attorneys, senior-level executives, CPAs, business owners, corporations, and charitable foundations.
Whether you seek portfolio management, income planning, lending services, estate planning strategies, or an overall financial profile, Derek’s skilled abilities combined with Stifel’s robust resources will develop customized strategies designed to help you build, preserve, and transfer your wealth across generations. Additionally, he draws upon the knowledge gained from attaining the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation to help clients understand where they are today, what will be required for retirement, and what they’ll need to do between now and then.
As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, Derek adapts strategies designed to combine customized investment management with the ability to quickly react to market conditions for clients who choose discretionary advisory services.
Derek earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Today, he operates in New York City. Derek lives in the city with his wife and children.

The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy. Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program. Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio. You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.
